Little Ping Ann, you can do it! You will be safe!

After all the hardships and difficulties, Teh Ghee Lim, the father of one-year-old girl Teh Ping Ann finally donated his bone marrow to the daughter. The bone marrow transplantation went smoothly, and the little girl is currently under regular observation in the hospital. She is getting better, and the chance of rejection is quite low. This is a great news, so we sincerely pray that Ping Ann can grow up safely!

One-year-old girl Teh Ping Ann from Bukit Mertajam in Penang suffers from a rare genetic disease. Ping Ann, accompanied by her parents, went to Singapore for treatment after Christmas last year. However, she was rushed to the hospital on 2 February due to unexpected brain haemorrhage, shortly before the bone marrow transplant. The doctor performed emergency craniotomy to stop the bleeding.

Little Ping Ann suffers from congenital thrombocytopenia and a bone marrow transplant is needed to solve her problem. After various examinations and chemotherapy, little Ping Ann finally accepted the bone marrow donation from her father on 11 March, and the surgery went smoothly. His father experienced mild symptoms such as fatigue and body ache after the bone marrow donation, but he will be fine after some rest. Little Ping Ann developed a slight fever but there was nothing serious, but she needs continuous blood tests and regular observations.

On 2 March, One Hope Charity launched a second fundraising to raise RM800,000 in medical expenses for little Ping Ann. The fund was successfully raised in three days, which allowed Ping Ann to continue with her treatment. Her parents were grateful to One Hope Charity for not giving up their only daughter. They were even more grateful to the public for donating generously to save their daughter. They hope that their daughter can grow up safely and healthily, and they also plan to return to Malaysia after their daughter recovers, so that they can come to One Hope Charity to thank the public for their assistance!
