The condition of the baby girl was critical and she had undergone a surgery at an appropriate time. And now, baby Yip Xiao Wei is put under observation in the intensive care unit. Please continue to pray for her.

Xiao Wei, a baby girl from Sarikei, Sarawak, was diagnosed with serious heart disease after she was born. She had to travel from the East Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur for surgery. The RM80,000 surgical fee has been successfully raised. Her parents are grateful to all generous individuals for the donations. One Hope Charity will stop the fundraising for Xiao Wei immediately.

Xiao Wei was born in Sarikei Hospital on 18 February, and the doctor discovered that her breathing was not smooth. After thorough examination, she was diagnosed with severe congenital heart disease – the transposition of the great arteries. As her condition was special and complicated, the heart repair surgery could not be done in the hospitals in East Malaysia. Therefore, she was sent to Kuching Hospital by helicopter for a balloon atrial septostomy, a surgery mainly to buy time for her corrective surgery for the transposition of the great arteries.

The hospital also arranged for the baby girl and her mother to fly from East Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur on 5 March to get ready for the corrective surgery. Together with them was also a doctor, in case she faced any condition on the flight.

Upon her arrival in Kuala Lumpur, she started a series of pre-surgery tests and examinations. The baby girl underwent surgery on 8 March and it was very successful. The baby girl is currently under observation.

The parents thank all the generous donors for allowing Xiao Wei to undergo the surgery in time. The kindness and generosity of all well-wishers enable Xiao Wei to continue survive.
