【Part 4: 3 children have recovered and discharged - 24/11/2020】

 



2 years old boy Low Zhen Yi, 9 months old baby girl Tang Gaa Xin and few days old Nurul Inara Surfina lives are endangered. They urgently requires surgery which sums up to RM155,000.

Good news, after the heart disease surgery, all three children have recovered and been discharged from the hospital, and they are in good condition and are growing up healthy.

The 9-month-old baby girl Tang Gaa Xin and the 2-year-old boy Low Zhen Yi recovered and were discharged from the hospital on October 8 and October 14.Nurul Inara Surfina, the youngest girl among the three, was also discharged from the hospital on November 4.

Nurul Inara Surfina was diagnosed with a serious heart disease right after she was born. She was only a few days old when her parents came seek help from One Hope Charity. Because of her serious condition, the doctor recommended surgery before one month of age, otherwise her life would be in danger at any time.

Fortunately, the baby girl received everyone's attention and care, and she was able to undergo surgery on October 26 and was transferred to the general ward on the 30th.

The baby girl who had undergone complicated heart surgery was finally discharged from the hospital on November 4.She also seems to know that she has successfully gotten rid of her illness, and she has a smile on her face, cute and adorable.

Muhammad Syafiq Omar (32 years old), the baby girl’s father from Sungai Petani, Kedah, is an employee of the Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Perai. Dato' Sr Hj Rozali Bin Hj Mohamud, Datuk Bandar Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Perai (MBSP), also sent a private message to One Hope Charity chairman, thanking One Hope Charity for assisting the children of Seberang Perai City Council staff.

A baby who was born 5 days ago started her battle with sickness. Her heart is full of defect and requires to be admitted to NICU for breathing ventilator. She requires surgery to stay alive.

9 months old baby girl & 2 years old baby boy suffers from congenital heart disease and requires ventilator. They are suitable to undergo surgery to repair their heart defect.

3 children requires immediate surgery to stay alive but the expensive medical cost are unable to be paid by their family. Hence, they need the help from the generous public.

?Case 1: New born baby heart rhythm is abnormal. Doctor performed C-section on her mother and the baby is now in NICU. She requires RM80,000 for surgery?

Nurul Inara Surfina (Born 5th October) is from Sungai Petani, Kedah. Her heart rhythm was abnormal and doctor performed C-section on her mother. She was then rushed to NICU.

The baby girl suffers from TGA/IVS, ASD and PDA. She was transferred to Penang general hospital for checkup and was referred to specialist hospital. Her surgery is complicated and must be performed within a month. The success rate is 85% if the surgery is performed on time.

Her father initially chosen to hide her sickness from her mother as she do not want her to be worried. But due to her complicated condition, he was forced to reveal the truth. Her mother kept on crying everyday.

Her father, Muhammad Syafiq Omar, 32, is a sanitary worker in Seberang Jaya city council. He draws a monthly salary of RM1538. Her mother (29) is a housewife. The couple has 4 children who are 7 years old, 6 years old, 4 years old and few days old respectively.

?Case 2: 9 months old baby girl underwent her first surgery when she before a month old. She requires another surgery now and it cost RM35,000?

Tang Gaa Xin who is from Kuantan, Pahang underwent her first surgery when she was 2 weeks old. She suffers from progressive cyanosis and was diagnosed with perforated heart and congenital heart disease.

Few months after her surgery, she started to experience breathing difficulties and was again admitted. Doctor told her parents that her arteries are shrinking and had effected her blood circulation.

Due to her urgent condition, she underwent surgery on 7th Oct and she had recovered and discharged.

Her father, Tan Yong Chai, 31, is a single parent. He raised his 3 children who are 6 years old, 3 years old and 6 months old respectively. He is a salesman in Kuantan and drawing a monthly salary of RM2,000 previously. He works in Australia now but had return to Malaysia due to her daughter's condition.

He moved to Ipoh in September and staying with his parents and sister. He now works as a hawker.

?Case 3: 2 years old Low Zhen Yi suffers from perforated heart and requires surgery to stay alive. His surgery cost is RM40,000?

Low Zhen Yi is from Johor. Her mother experienced abnormal heart rhythm during pregnancy. Doctors told her that her hypertension does not require any medications. He was born prematurely in 38th week. He was placed in an incubator due to his weight (1.5kg).

Zhen Yi was diagnosed with VSD and was in NICU for 2 months. He required ventilator. He was then able to breath on his own and was discharged.

Zhen Yi is now 2 years old. During a checkup in August, doctors told his parents that his perforated heart is worsening and surgery should not be delayed further.

Besides having heart disease, he also experience ear problem. He requires to undergo heart surgery and after that, he needs to undergo ear surgery to avoid effecting his hearing.

His father,38 is a part time second hand car salesman. His income is not constant and drawing an average salary of RM1,500. His mother, Ellie Tan, 28, is a clerk. She draws a monthly salary of RM2800. The couple has 3 children who are 10, 8 and 2 years old respectively.
