Soo Xiang Yun-leukemia

100%

24 years old Soo Xiang Yun, female comes from Sungai Dua, Butterworth, Penang. She previously worked as an office clerk in a logistic company. Soo was diagnosed with acute lymphatic leukemia (ALL) on May 2017 and needs a sum of RM100,000 being her medical treatment costs and expenses.

It all started with a fever during Soo?s vacation at Philippines this May 2017. Soo was unfeeling well during the 4th day of vacation. She was first caught under fever and at last caused to blurred vision, dizziness and vomiting at the airport upon arrival.

Soo was sent to the hospital immediately straight away from the airport for check-ups and was diagnosed with leukemia (blood cancer). Apart from that, Soo is further confirmed by the doctor that she is suffering from brain hemorrhage (brain bleeding). Due to the deficiency of platelets (low platelet count), Soo?s health condition is unfit and unsuitable to undergo brain surgery.

Soo was discharged from the hospital on 17/06/2017 and the up-coming check-up appointment is further fixed on 11/07/2017. We believe that Soo?s brain hemorrhage?s is currently under control as she does not feels dizziness and/or vomiting during this moment. However, the exact medical treatment is to be further determined upon the finalization of medical report following with the up-coming check-up on 11/07/2017. In the event the report shows that Soo?s brain hemorrhage?s illness has been cured, she is thus suitable to undergo chemotherapy treatment.

Soo is undergoing the chemotherapy treatment for 6 months being her initial medical treatment plan to fight against leukemia. During this 6 months period, the hospital will work hard in finding the suitable donor for Soo?s bone marrow transplant treatment. At the same time, the hospital had taken the samples of bone marrow from Soo's two sibling brothers for blood test and they are currently awaiting for their blood test result.

Whether there is a need for Soo's to undergo bone marrow transplant treatment or not is depending on her health condition after the 6 months chemotherapy treatment.

Soo?s father, Mr Soo Yong Chai (52 years old, operating furniture business in the style of family business) and Soo?s mother, Mdm Wu Mei Hua (51 years old, housewife) are agree to engage with One Hope Charity & Welfare Berhad to be fully in charge in the fund raising program and accepting the donation from the public being their daughter?s medical treatment costs and expenses.

After being confirmed by Soo?s doctor in relation of her health condition and after the negotiation with Soo?s family members we came into a mutual agreement to raise RM100,000 at the first stage being the funds to be used for Soo?s medical treatment, chemotherapy treatment, bone marrow test cost, emergency and any other related expenses. Meanwhile, we would like to thank all of you in advance for all the supports and donations.
