"Mom experiences sudden shortness of breath, once fainted from suffocation, luckily revived after rescue. She has blockages in her heart's blood vessels, and the aorta is not functioning properly, requiring urgent surgery to save her life. Please help save her."

A 60-year-old woman, Anapurani A/P Kandasamy, from Penang, has been facing difficulties in breathing and episodes of suffocation since early last year. Despite seeking medical help multiple times, she only received asthma medications. Her only daughter had to take her to a specialized hospital at their own expense for further tests, revealing blockages of 80% and 85% in her heart's blood vessels and abnormalities in the aorta, making it unable to function properly.

Over the past year, the woman has struggled with breathing difficulties and, at one point, experienced suffocation. Due to the inability to lead a normal life, she contemplated giving up treatment. Seeing her mother's condition deteriorate, the daughter is actively seeking medical help, requesting assistance with the surgery cost of RM75,000.

【Medication and oxygen assistive devices can only alleviate the condition; only surgery can prolong life】

Anapurani (60 years old) has been experiencing shortness of breath since January last year. Despite seeking medical attention, she was only given asthma medication to alleviate her condition. In June of the same year, she fainted due to respiratory distress and was admitted to the hospital. It was diagnosed that she had Triple Vessel Coronary Artery Disease and urgently needed Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) surgery. However, her only daughter, facing financial difficulties, has depleted her savings and even owes medical expenses. Unable to afford private hospital care, Anapurani turned to government hospitals, facing a wait of more than six months with no treatment in sight.

As her condition deteriorated, Anapurani experienced loss of appetite, weakness, and increased difficulty breathing. Her daughter, desperate for her mother's health, seeks assistance to cover the substantial surgical cost of RM75,000.

On November 24th of last year, Anapurani faced respiratory distress again, prompting her daughter to rush her to the nearby hospital. She was assisted with oxygen for 13 days but, due to financial constraints, her daughter transferred her to a government hospital. Subsequently, Anapurani was granted discharge. However, the recurrence of symptoms and the constant hospital visits have left her feeling worse than death itself, desperately seeking surgery to address her heart condition.

Anapurani's husband, Moorthi A/L Kuppusamy (66 years old), a retired private driver, and their two children, Nithiyah (37 years old), a medical technologist, and Ganesan (26 years old), who lost his legs in a car accident, rely on disability benefits and are unable to work.

With the daughter's savings depleted, the family seeks assistance and prays for the support of the community to help them navigate through this difficult time. After a home visit assessment, One Hope Charity has decided to raise the necessary medical funds for Anapurani. The family has agreed to entrust the fundraising activities entirely to One Hope Charity and to collect donations on their behalf.
