“Because of the blockage in my two main arteries, I feel pain when I take a deep breath. I also had cold sweats, a bloated stomach and other symptoms. I hope to have surgery soon so that I can return to work to support my family.”

Norazli Bin Abdullah from Kepala Batas, Penang, is a man who works quietly. He has been working as an operator in a factory for 35 years. He is also a family man.

He did not suffer from any illness in the past but started to experience tightness in the chest and angina in November last year. He went to seek medical treatment and waited for an examination, but he could not secure a date after waiting for an extended period.

He underwent a series of treatments but failed to solve his heart problem. And now, he needs to undergo bypass surgery that costs RM55,000. After borrowing from friends and family, he managed to pay RM13,000, so he approached One Hope for the shortfall of RM42,000.

【He underwent an angiogram and surgery to place a stent in his heart, but those did not solve his heart problem. And now, he is relying on sublingual tablets to relieve his condition】

54-year-old Norazli Bin Abdullah went to the hospital for consultation on 11 November last year due to chest pain — the preliminary examination suspected blockage in the blood vessels of his heart. The doctor referred him to a government hospital for follow-up treatments. As he often experienced heart pain, and his company provides insurance for the employees, he decided to go for a check at a specialist hospital. The examination showed that two of his blood vessels in the heart were blocked. He later underwent an angiogram and heart stent surgery.

Although the two surgeries relieved his condition, he still felt unwell. Coronary artery bypass surgery would be a long-term solution for him. However, the insurance had exceeded its limit, and his family could not afford the medical expenses. The doctor later referred him to the government hospital for follow-up. However, he could not obtain an appointment.

The doctor told him his heart may fail and he may go into sudden arrest at any time. However, he needs to support his wife and children, so he hopes the public can help him with the shortfall of RM42,000.

54-year-old Norazli Bin Abdullah has worked in a factory as an operator for 35 years, and his current monthly salary is RM3,177. His 39-year-old wife, Roslina Bt Md. Yusuf is a housewife. The couple has five children, two of them have started working, but he still needs to support his three unemployed and schooling children.

After reviewing the case following a home visit, One Hope Charity decided to assist the head of the family in raising the medical expenses he needed. His family agreed to fully authorise One Hope Charity to take charge of the fundraising and collect donations from the well-wishers on their behalf.
