ONE HOPE CHARITY's '2023 Giving Essential Needs and Celebration of the 21st Anniversary' event officially kicked off this morning, delivering aid to 7,000 disadvantaged families in Penang.

Held at the Bukit Mertajam Juru Auto City, this large-scale charity event cost over RM2.3 million this year, with a turnout exceeding 20,000 people.

Tuan Yang Perutama Tun Dato' Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak, attended the event to officiate the opening ceremony. He was warmly welcomed by One Hope Charity's chairman, Dato' Chua Sui Hau, advisor Dato' Seri R. Arunasalam, advisor, committee members, and volunteers.

Several state government officials were also present to join in the celebration. During the event, One Hope Charity handed over four new-born hearing screening devices (OAE) to the Penang Health Department.

This year, One Hope Charity prepared 7,000 aid packages, each valued at RM300, containing food supplies and a RM200 cash. The aim is to provide immediate relief to beneficiaries, warming both their stomachs and hearts.

With the assistance and cooperation of the Volunteer, police, along with support from the fire department, medical personnel, and etc. This year's aid distribution went smoothly. All beneficiaries followed the instructions of the staff, maintaining order while collecting aid.

One Hope Charity expresses gratitude to all the units that provided assistance and cooperation during the preparation process. Special thanks are extended to sponsors, suppliers, generous individuals, and volunteers for their contributions, ensuring the success of this event.
