"2023 Annual Giving 7000 Sets Essential Needs" distributed supplies to families with limited mobility at the end of 2023. Additionally, the final batch of supplies and red packets was distributed to the Seberang Perai City Council at the beginning of this year. A total of 200 WIRA OREN beneficiaries received aid, consisting of essential items worth RM100 and a red packet of RM200, providing a total assistance of RM300, aiming to alleviate their burdens.

Since the commencement of the aid distribution to needy households on December 3rd of the previous year, One Hope Charity has continuously delivered supplies to relevant units. Some elderly individuals and disabled persons living alone were unable to attend the distribution events, prompting volunteers to tirelessly deliver supplies and red packets to their residences before the end of 2023.

The final batch of 200 sets of supplies, after multiple communications between One Hope Charity and the Seberang Perai City Council, was officially handed over in early January. Dato' Chua Sui Hau, the chairman of One Hope Charity, personally handed over the supplies and red packets to the council's beneficiaries and received a warm welcome from the Mayor of Seberang Perai, Dato' Azhar.

Dato' Chua expressed One Hope Charity's appreciation for the contributions of sanitation workers. During the pandemic, One Hope Charity not only provided 263,000 face masks, over 1,000 bottles of hand sanitizer, various types of protective equipment, and dry rations but also recognized and affirmed their contributions.

Mayor Dato' Azhar acknowledged that over half of the 4,000 employees in the Seberang Perai City Council belong to the B40 group. Therefore, when receiving aid proposals, the council establishes criteria, taking into account the health, family, and economic situations of these employees. Only those who meet the criteria can receive assistance, albeit with some limitations due to the need to share resources.

He expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by ONE HOPE CHARITY and hoped for its continued growth to help more vulnerable groups. Attendees included Penang Island Council members, department heads, and other dignitaries.
