“Our baby used to wheeze when drinking milk, but now she can drink milk normally. Thanks for the generous donations, which allowed our baby to successfully undergo surgery. We also appreciate the committee of One Hope Charity for agreeing to cover the costs of our baby’s emergency surgery.”

8-month-old baby girl, Aizatul Syarha Afeera binti Azawazir from Permatang Pauh, Penang, was scheduled for heart surgery on January 30th. However, due to coughing and shortness of breath on January 27th, she was admitted to the hospital and stayed for 10 days for observation. As a result, the surgery date was postponed to February 15th.

After completing heart surgery, Aizatul was transferred to normal ward on the morning of February 19th. Unexpectedly, she experienced rapid breathing in the afternoon of the same day. Upon examination, it was found that her left ventricle was not functioning properly. As a result, she underwent second surgery, which cost RM10,931.25. The parents expressed their inability to afford the expenses when they faced with the unexpected emergency surgery. The committee of One Hope Charity decided to assist with the cost of the surgery, helping the parents through this difficult time.

Aizatul was transferred back to the normal ward for observation  on February 22nd and was allowed to be discharged and return home to reunite with her family two days later.

Thanks to the donations from the public, the required RM70,000 surgery fee for Aizatul Syarha was raised within 2 days and 3 hours. We also appreciate the regular donations from the public, enabling One Hope Charity to allocate RM10,931.25 from the “Emergency Medical Reserve Fund” to cover the cost of emergency surgery for Aizatul.
