【Medical Assistance-Anterior Cruciate Ligament Surgery】The outstanding 18-year-old youth, who excels in both academics and character, suffered an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), preventing him from continuing his football career and potentially affecting his ability to walk in the future. One Hope Charity is providing assistance of RM13,250 to ensure that he can undergo the surgery successfully.

An 18-year-old youth from Seremban, Kumanan a/l Chandran, not only excels as a member of the state football team but also achieved outstanding results in the recent SPM examination with 7A grades. He aspires to continue his studies by pursuing STPM while nurturing his dream of becoming a football player, a physical therapist, or a coach. However, a previous training injury has resulted in a damaged anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee, necessitating surgical treatment. One Hope Charity has allocated RM13,250 from the "Emergency Medical Reserve Fund" to support his surgery.

Kumanan, an Indian teenager, has been playing football since the age of 9 and has also participated in running events, winning numerous medals and trophies for his achievements. Besides excelling in sports, he has demonstrated remarkable academic performance, as evidenced by his impressive 7A results in the recent SPM examination.

Originally scheduled to join the Negeri Sembilan state football team for the under-20 age group in January of this year, Kumanan suffered a football-related injury to his left knee's anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) just two weeks before signing the contract. His injury cannot heal on its own, necessitating surgical intervention. Delaying the surgery not only prevents him from joining the state football team but also risks further damage to his knee and joint, affecting his ability to walk normally.

Kumanan requires ACL reconstruction and knee meniscus repair surgery, which amounts to RM13,250. Following the operation, he will need approximately six months of rehabilitation. His father works as a lorry driver, while his mother is employed at a plastic factory. The family also includes an elderly grandmother and two younger brothers and a sister, who are still studying, making it challenging for them to afford the necessary surgery expenses.

Considering the urgency of Kumanan's injury situation, One Hope Charity has decided to allocate RM13,250 from the "Emergency Medical Reserve Fund" to support his surgery. The hope is that with this assistance, he can continue his studies and achieve his football dreams.

ONE HOPE CHARITY determined the surgery fee needed for assistance. We did not start fundraising because the surgery fee was less than RM20,000. Instead, it made good use of the usual well-meaning donations to assist Abdul Halim.
