【Medical Assistance - Surgical Cost】A 32-year-old woman suffered a stroke, and after deducting insurance coverage, she is still short of RM 15,195 for the necessary surgery. One Hope Charity urgently provides assistance, ensuring that she undergoes the surgery during the critical period.

A 32-year-old woman from Penang, Hazwani Binti Mohamad Nor, suffered a severe and urgent stroke. After deducting insurance coverage, she was still short of RM 15,195 for the necessary surgery. One Hope Charity allocated RM 15,195 from the "Emergency Medical Fund" to assist her in undergoing life-saving surgery during the critical period.

On the morning of October 2, Hazwani was discovered immobile by her husband and urgently rushed to the hospital for diagnosis. Despite receiving treatment with serum, her condition did not improve. She required a specialized procedure called Mechanical Thrombectomy, which was only available at one hospital in Northern Malaysia.

In the crucial moments, One Hope Charity received the urgent case, swiftly assessed it, and decided to provide financial support, guaranteeing the necessary surgery for Hazwani during the critical time.

Her 33-year-old husband, Azrol Nizam bin Ahmad, is a rice farmer with a monthly income of approximately RM 2,500. The couple has five children, aged between 1 and 12 (2 daughters and 3 sons).

The sudden stroke left the family in distress, and despite the husband's efforts, after deducting social insurance contributions, they still fell short of RM 15,195. As the required amount was below RM 20,000, One Hope Charity efficiently utilized the "Emergency Medical Fund" to cover this surgery cost without initiating a separate fundraising campaign.

The surgery was successful, and Hazwani was subsequently transferred to a government hospital for observation. She was finally allowed to leave the hospital on October 9. Currently, she can feed herself, articulate clearly, and slowly move her left limbs. However, she still relies on a wheelchair and needs assistance from others. With consistent physical therapy, there is hope for her to gradually recover her daily activities.
