【Medical Assistance - Wound Cleaning】At the age of 53, a widow returned to her hometown with her children after her husband's passing, to care for her elderly father who had both legs amputated. Unexpectedly, she suffered a fall that injured her right ankle. ONE HOPE CHARITY provided RM 4,000 in medical assistance for wound cleaning expenses in her time of need.

A 53-year-old widow, Omi Selamah, moved back to her hometown with her children after her husband passed away 3 years ago. She also takes care of her elderly father, who had both his legs amputated. However, in June, she accidentally fell at home and suffered a broken right ankle, leaving her injured. ONE HOPE CHARITY allocated RM 4,000 from the "Emergency Medical Reserve Fund" to assist with her wound cleaning expenses, hoping for her swift recovery.

Residing in Pinang Tunggal, Omi Selamah previously sought assistance from ONE HOPE CHARITY last year for wound cleaning expenses for her father. At that time, ONE HOPE CHARITY provided assistance for wound cleaning expenses and diapers for a period of 8 months. Unfortunately, due to a bacterial infection, her father eventually had to undergo amputation.

Since her father lost both of his legs, Omi Selamah has been taking care of his daily needs. However, on June 29th of this year, she accidentally fell at home. A neighbor rushed her to the hospital, where it was determined that her right ankle was broken. She underwent surgery to fix her ankle with metal support, but her mobility remains limited.

Previously, she used to bake bread and pastries at home to sell to stalls, earning an income. But now, due to her injuries, she can only lie in bed, resulting in a loss of income. Currently, the family relies on meager assistance from the welfare department and religious organizations to make ends meet.

Omi Selamah once again sought assistance from ONE HOPE CHARITY for wound cleaning expenses. After conducting a home visit and assessment, ONE HOPE CHARITY approved providing her with a total of RM 4,000 for wound cleaning expenses, with the hope that she will recover soon and be able to continue working to support her family.
