Cheah Chee Wah unfortunately experienced a stroke. He made good progress after the emergency operation because of it. He was transferred back to the general ward of the government hospital to recuperate. He has now been discharged from the hospital.

Her daughter is very appreciative of the public donations that made it possible for her father to receive emergency surgery transfer to a specialised hospital. Her father can now resume his regular work schedule after being freed from a permanent paralysis.

Cheah Chee Wah sought emergency treatment at the only specialised hospital on Penang Island that offers endovascular thrombectomy. The postoperative condition was stable and improving. After the observation period, he was transferred back to the government hospital for rehabilitation before being released on Friday afternoon.

He will require physical therapy afterward, but he believes he will soon be able to resume his pre-stroke routine and return to work and earn money.
