The Chinese New Year is just around the corner. To help low-income families so that they can also enjoy a warm and happy festive season, One Hope Charity distributed 470 sets of dry food aid and angpow to underprivileged pupils from 16 Chinese primary schools in Central Seberang Prai worth more than RM350 each.

One Hope Charity has planned to assist pupils from underprivileged families since December last year, hoping to ease the financial burden of their parents during the period when children just started their classes, as well as the time preparing for the upcoming festive season.

Besides dry food, the aid includes canned food for Chinese New Year, egg rolls, jam, hand sanitiser to combat Covid-19, One Hope Charity’s 20th-anniversary t-shirt and water bottle, among others, and an angpow with cash.

The 16 beneficiary schools were SJKC Kubang Semang, SJKC Perkampungan Berapit, SJKC Jit Sin A, SJKC Jit Sin B, SJKC Kim Sen, SJKC Beng Teik Pusat, SJKC Permatang Tinggi, SJKC Keow Kuang, SJKC True Light, SJKC Sin Ya, SJKC Kay Sin, SJKC Peng Bin, SJKC Lay Keow, SJKC Seng Keow, SJKC Chung Hwa 3 and SJKC Sungai Lembu.
