Every family faces its own challenges, and one Chinese couple, despite their health issues, remains diligent in their work to support their two children—one with cerebral palsy and the other still in school. Recently, the father, who is the breadwinner of the family, faced a significant reduction in income due to bone spur problems. In their desperate situation, they sought assistance for food and diapers this month.

Chin Fong Chi, from Kulim, Kedah, was diagnosed with bone spurs on the sole of his right foot in June of this year. He works as an operator in an electronics factory, requiring him to stand and walk for extended periods. However, he has been unable to work due to frequent foot pain, resulting in a loss of income. His 50-year-old wife was formerly a garment worker. Three years ago, she developed vision problems due to issues with her eye blood vessels, causing blurred vision and rendering her unable to continue working. Currently, her vision is only at 50%. Both husband and wife suffer from hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes, requiring them to inject insulin twice daily.

They have two children, a 19-year-old son with cerebral palsy who requires the use of diapers and cannot care for himself, and a 16-year-old daughter who is still in school. The daughter's school is a distance from their home, necessitating private transportation at a cost of RM220 per month. The family's monthly expenses rely on meager salaries and welfare benefits provided by the Department of Social Welfare.

Upon receiving their request for assistance, ONE HOPE CHARITY conducted a home visit and decided to provide aid in the form of dry rations and diapers to help alleviate their family's burden.
