A 33-year-old city council employee suffered a mild stroke, temporarily losing the ability to work; his wife, with impaired vision, is unable to work, leading to sudden financial difficulties at home. One Hope Charity provided them with food supplies, diapers and milk powder for their children, helping them through this difficult time.

Mohammad Amsyar bin Abu Bakar from Tasek Gelugor, Penang, suffered a stroke in August last year, leaving his right side paralyzed. Additionally, he has three highs (hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes), with diabetes causing blurry vision. Despite his weakened right side, he manages to walk with difficulty using a walking stick.

Mohd Amsyar was a contractual employee at the city council before suffering a stroke, but post-stroke, he temporarily lost his ability to work. His 34-year-old wife used to work as a clerk in a hardware store but had to quit due to vision problems. She also suffers from hypertension and diabetes. Recently, inflammation in the back of both eyes has caused her complete blindness, rendering her unable to work. She receives financial assistance from SOCSO monthly.

The couple has two sons. The 6-year-old attends a nearby kindergarten, getting transportation assistance from friends. The 1-year-old, born prematurely, requires special care. Currently, the family of four lives in the ancestral home and only has a monthly car loan to manage.

Upon receiving the request for assistance, One Hope Charity sent representatives to conduct a home visit. The board of directors decided to provide assistance in the form of food supplies, diapers and milk powder, allowing them to temporarily overcome difficulties.
