A 60-year-old man from Bukit Mertajam supports his entire family with a meager income, while his wife takes care of his mother and father-in-law, both of whom are unable to care for themselves or have limited mobility.

The man's 87-year-old mother, Ooi Ah Choo, began suffering from dementia last year. She experiences slow movement and frequent falls due to her elderly age, making her incapable of self-care. After her husband passed away, she has been living with her second son and his wife, who take care of her daily needs.

Additionally, the man's 82-year-old father-in-law, Liew Soo Ngen, started experiencing weakness in his legs three years ago, requiring a wheelchair for mobility. Since the passing of his wife, he has been living alone in a flat in Butterworth. The daughter (the man's wife) lives in Bukit Mertajam, and she couldn't cross districts during the lockdown, making it challenging for her to provide food to her father. As a result, she brought her father to stay with her husband's family in Bukit Mertajam.

The man operates motor and bicycle repair shop, earning around RM1000. His 55-year-old wife is a housewife and is currently taking care of her father and mother-in-law at home.

Upon receiving their request for assistance, ONE HOPE CHARITY sent representatives to visit the family and decided to provide assistance in the form of adult diapers for Ooi Ah Choo and Liew Soo Ngen to alleviate the family's burden.
