74-year-old Ooi Ah Wah and her husband have been retired for many years. They live with their eldest son, who suffers from depression and has been unemployed for some time. One Hope Charity provided them with food supplies and diapers, alleviating their burden.

Originally from Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Ooi Ah Wah used to work as a domestic helper but stopped working 8 years ago due to her advanced age and foot pain. She suffers from hypertension, high cholesterol, and urinary incontinence, requiring her to wear diapers daily. Her 81-year-old husband, who was a salesman in his younger days, also has hypertension and high cholesterol and takes medication regularly, attending government clinics for check-ups.

The couple has two sons. Currently, they live with their 44-year-old eldest son, who developed depression after working for a year following his university graduation and has been unemployed since then. He experiences trembling, coughing, or vomiting when exposed to stress or anxiety. Their 41-year-old younger son works as a medical equipment salesman, earning a monthly salary of RM2500. His wife is a housewife, and they have a daughter who is studying in high school.

The household expenses, including rent, are mainly covered by minimal savings and the living expenses provided by the younger son. Therefore, Ooi Ah Wah applied to One Hope Charity for assistance with food supplies and diapers to alleviate the family's financial burden.

Upon receiving the request for assistance, representatives from ONE HOPE CHARITY visited their home for a household assessment. The board of directors decided to provide food supplies and diapers to help alleviate their financial burden.
