The 70-year-old woman, Timah binti Husain, from Bukit Mertajam, Penang, used to work as a postnatal masseuse. However, she has been afflicted with Parkinson's disease for the past 5 years, causing her right hand to tremble uncontrollably. During this year's Ramadan, she suddenly experienced weakness in her limbs and, unfortunately, after a fall, she lost her ability to live independently.

Currently, Timah is being cared for by her younger son and granddaughter, who live under the same roof. Her son is the primary breadwinner of the family, working as a furniture installer with a monthly income of approximately RM1,200. However, he suffered an accident in 2014 that left him with limited mobility in his limbs. Timah's granddaughter is 11 years old and is still attending primary school.

In addition to her other health challenges, Timah also has diabetes and requires her son to ride a motorcycle to take her to hospital check-ups. Each month, she receives RM350 in ZAKAT assistance, of which RM80 is used to cover her granddaughter's transportation expenses and school-related costs.

Upon receiving the request for assistance, ONE HOPE CHARITY sent representatives to conduct a home visit and decided to provide food aid to alleviate the burden on this family.
