A 68-year-old Indian man named Yoganathan suffered a stroke in 2020, which left him with limited mobility in his legs. He is now unable to walk. His wife, Parameswari, who is 61 years old, quit her job at a factory canteen to become his full-time caregiver. They have reached out to One Hope Charity for assistance with diapers, dry food supplies, and a underpads.

Yoganathan used to work as a crane operator, but his stroke has rendered him unable to continue working. His legs have progressively weakened this year, and he is now unable to stand or walk. As a result, his wife, Parameswari, had to resign from her job at the factory canteen to care for him full-time.

Parameswari herself suffers from varicose veins in her legs, hypertension, and heart problems. Since quitting her job, the family has had no income and relies on meager financial assistance from the welfare department. Their second son provides them with a monthly allowance of RM200 to cover their living expenses.

The couple has three children. Their eldest son passed away 10 years ago, leaving behind a wife and five children. Their second son, 36 years old, works in a factory and has two children of his own. Their youngest daughter has lost contact with the family.

After conducting a home visit and assessment, One Hope Charity has decided to provide aid in the form of food supplies, diapers, and a underpads to help alleviate their living expenses and burdens.
