Before falling ill, Zaini, a 55-year-old single father, used to work as a lorry driver for a transportation company, supporting his children with a meager income. However, three years ago, he was diagnosed with heart disease and underwent surgery at a government hospital, which left him unable to work.

Hailing from Simpang Ampat, Perak, Zaini lost his wife 7 years ago, leaving him with 5 children. Back then, he managed to raise his children on his modest earnings. Currently, 3 of his children are working, and his eldest and second sons have families of their own.

Three years ago, Zaini underwent a cardiac angiogram at a Penang hospital, which revealed 4 blocked blood vessels. He was then scheduled for surgery. However, due to his unstable condition, he couldn't work while waiting for the surgery date. He relied on a monthly assistance of 350 Malaysian Ringgit from the Welfare Department to survive. Consequently, he sought food aid from ONE HOPE CHARITY to ensure that his children wouldn't go hungry.

Upon receiving the plea for help, ONE HOPE CHARITY conducted a home visit and approved the provision of food aid to them.
