The 63-year-old single woman, Lee Siew Suan, passed away in the hospital, leaving her elder brother, who relied on her, unable to handle her affairs after her death. One Hope Charity assisted in handling all the arrangements for the woman's funeral, allowing her elder brother to bid her a peaceful farewell.

Lee Siew Suan had suffered injuries to her waist and legs in a previous car accident, which severely affected her mobility and ability to work. She had been assisting her brother at his roadside stall, but after the accident, she was placed in a nursing home by her brother. Despite her brother's limited income, he took responsibility for her nursing home expenses.

Unfortunately, Lee Siew Suan passed away due to a bacterial infection after being hospitalized for a high fever. Upon receiving the news of her sister's passing, and considering her brother's limited savings, they sought assistance from the foundation. After verifying the details, One Hope Charity gathered donations to provide her with a coffin, urn, niche for ashes, and all necessary funeral arrangements.

#PromiseOfTheLastJourney

One Hope Charity promotes the "Promise of the last journey" care plan, allowing elderly individuals without family support to register in advance. This way, One Hope Charity can fulfill their funeral wishes after their passing.

Thanks to the regular donations from the public, the foundation can promptly assist more needy families and elderly individuals in handling their affairs after their passing. Those interested in contributing can donate at any time, as this support is ongoing to meet unforeseen needs.

Additionally, if there are impoverished families who cannot manage post-mortem arrangements for their deceased relatives or single elderly individuals who need pre-registration assistance, they can contact ONE HOPE CHARITY's hotline for help at 016-920 2920, 016-419 2192, or 04-539 9212.
