The 83-year-old man, Lim Eang Lee, was sent to the hospital by a neighbor for treatment due to illness. However, upon discharge, no relatives came to pick him up, so the Welfare Department arranged for him to stay in a nursing home. Recently, he fell critically ill again and passed away in the hospital. Upon receiving a request for assistance from the relevant authorities, One Hope Charity took care of all the arrangements for his funeral, ensuring that he could complete his final journey with dignity.

Living alone, Lim Eang Lee was sent to the hospital by a neighbor for treatment of a urinary tract infection. During his hospitalization, it was discovered that he also suffered from dementia. Upon checking with the National Registration Department, it was found that he had no living relatives. Therefore, the Welfare Department arranged for him to stay in a nursing home.

During his time at the nursing home, Lim Eang Lee peacefully spent his later years. However, he was hospitalized again recently due to another infection in the urinary tract, which ultimately led to his passing. One Hope Charity gathered donations to provide him with a coffin, an urn, and a niche. Our volunteers took care of all the arrangements for his funeral, accompanying him on his final journey.

One Hope Charity has always provided coffin and funeral assistance to impoverished families. As long as they meet the criteria, we fully cover the funeral expenses, allowing families to bid farewell to their loved ones with peace of mind, completing their final journey in life.

#PromiseOfTheLastJourney

One Hope Charity promotes the "Promise of the last journey" care plan, allowing elderly individuals without family support to register in advance. This way, One Hope Charity can fulfill their funeral wishes after their passing.

Thanks to the regular donations from the public, the foundation can promptly assist more needy families and elderly individuals in handling their affairs after their passing. Those interested in contributing can donate at any time, as this support is ongoing to meet unforeseen needs.

Additionally, if there are impoverished families who cannot manage post-mortem arrangements for their deceased relatives or single elderly individuals who need pre-registration assistance, they can contact ONE HOPE CHARITY's hotline for help at 016-920 2920, 016-419 2192, or 04-539 9212.
