69-year-old Chinese woman, Lim Sim Liang, accidentally fell at home, leading to complications. She experienced loss of appetite for several days. Despite the advice of her sisters, who lived with her, to seek medical attention, she refused. After a few days, she was found lifeless in her sleep.

Lim Sim Liang had been living with her brother and two sisters, all of whom lost their livelihood due to old age. The family's expenses were supported by their low-income nephew.

Without reservation, the woman had previously registered with One Hope Charity's "Promise of the last journey" assistance program. This meant entrusting One Hope Charity with handling all funeral arrangements after her passing. When One Hope Charity received news of her demise, it coordinated with funeral services to take care of her posthumous affairs. One Hope Charity also gathered funds to provide a coffin, purchase a niche for ashes, and cover all funeral-related expenses.

One Hope Charity promotes the "Promise of the last journey" care plan, allowing elderly individuals without family support to register in advance. This way, One Hope Charity can fulfill their funeral wishes after their passing.

Thanks to the regular donations from the public, the foundation can promptly assist more needy families and elderly individuals in handling their affairs after their passing. Those interested in contributing can donate at any time, as this support is ongoing to meet unforeseen needs.

Additionally, if there are impoverished families who cannot manage post-mortem arrangements for their deceased relatives or single elderly individuals who need pre-registration assistance, they can contact ONE HOPE CHARITY's hotline for help at 016-920 2920, 016-419 2192, or 04-539 9212.
