"There will be no more illnesses in heaven, Soon Xiong. Be a cheerful little angel. Mom and Dad will never forget your smile."

When Lim Soon Xiong, an 8-year-old boy from Bukit Mertajam, was born, he was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Despite having had surgery at the age of three, his heart was unable to bear the strain as he grew older. During a follow-up visit a few months ago, he was discovered to have a hole in his heart. He had no choice but to wait for the second surgery and died a few days ago of illness.

His mother noticed he was suddenly short of breath on the day of the disease's onset and rushed him to the hospital for emergency treatment. The doctor also attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him, but it failed.

Lim Soon Xiong had to go to and from the hospital numerous times as a child due to congenital heart disease and frailty. Lim Soon Xiong never went to school, and his parents' savings were depleted as a result of his treatment.

In terms of the child's aftermath, the parents had no extra savings to deal with, so they sought help from ONE HOPE CHARITY when they were helpless. ONE HOPE CHARITY gathered donations to provide Soon Xiong with a coffin and handle funeral arrangements.

Soon Xiong's parents and grandmother wept as they bid farewell to Soon Xiong at the funeral.
