A 63-year-old single elderly man, who had been homeless around the Komtar area in Penang, was struck by a car and taken to the hospital for medical treatment. After being discharged, he was arranged by the welfare department to stay in a nursing home.

The elderly man, Thua Lian Kee, had been in poor health since the accident. Recently, during a late-night inspection by the nursing home staff, they found that he had passed away. Hospital personnel were called in to confirm his passing.

Upon receiving the nursing home's request, ONE HOPE CHARITY gathered donations from various individuals to handle all matters related to his posthumous affairs, ensuring that he completes his life with dignity.

Upon hearing the news, Thua Lian Kee's friends raised funds to purchase a niche for his ashes to rest.

ONE HOPE CHARITY has always provided assistance for impoverished families in arranging coffins and handling posthumous affairs. As long as they meet the criteria, we take full responsibility for funeral expenses, allowing families to send their departed loved ones on their final journey without worries.

We also promote the "Promise of the last journey" program, which aims to care for elderly individuals who are alone and have no one to handle their posthumous affairs. They can register with ONE HOPE CHARITY in advance, and we will fulfill their funeral wishes based on their application.

We extend our gratitude to the public for their regular donations and sponsorships for niches, enabling our organization to assist more needy families and elderly individuals in handling posthumous affairs. Those interested in making donations can contribute at any time. This ongoing support is essential to be prepared for unforeseen needs.

Furthermore, if there are impoverished families who are unable to arrange post-life affairs for their deceased relatives or if elderly individuals living alone require pre-registration, they can contact our hotline at 016-920 29202, 019-232 2192, or 04-539 9212 for assistance.
