After undergoing two surgeries, 14-year-old Harshini A/P Gunalan can now stand tall with confidence, facing the future.

Harshini A/P Gunalan had a 69-degree scoliosis, and in May 2022, One Hope Charity initiated a fundraising campaign for the surgery expenses. She also suffered from tonsillar ectopia with cervicothoracic syringomyelia, and on July 13, 2022, she underwent surgery to drain the accumulated fluid in her spinal cord. The surgery was successful, and she was discharged on July 16, requiring regular follow-up visits for observation.

On May 9, 2023, with her condition stable, Harshini finally underwent the spinal correction surgery, which was successful. She was permitted to go home on May 12, and it is expected that she will need two months of rest before returning to school after regular follow-up consultations.

Both of Harshini's surgeries went smoothly, and her parents are deeply grateful for the donations, blessings, and support from the community regardless of race. These contributions not only helped straighten their daughter's body but also made them feel the warmth and compassion of society at every turn.
