Suan Chooi Lian, a 79-year-old Chinese woman from Penang, has been diagnosed with urethral cancer in 2019. She underwent urethra removal surgery. After the surgery, she needs to wear an ostomy bag and a urine bag for the rest of her life. Worse come to worse, her husband died on the day she undergoes surgery due to prostate cancer. Now her 59-year-old unmarried only son assumed the responsibility of taking care of her.
After home-visit, ONE HOPE CHARITY approved her application to assist her with a monthly ostomy bag, catheter, and dried food for a period of 10 months.
