Brayden Lim Xiao Yang, from Kuala Lumpur, was diagnosed with Goldenhar syndrome at birth, including macrostomia, cleft palate, malformed left ear, and a hole in the heart. His developmental issues mainly affect the left side of his body, including nearsightedness in his left eye that worsens gradually each year.

Although his left ear has a shape, it lacks a ear canal and eardrum, resulting in a 60% hearing loss, while his right ear has a 20% hearing loss. In 2020, his parents received assistance from the foundation to purchase hearing aids, but there were still outstanding costs. However, as Brayden grew older, his family noticed that his hearing did not improve much with the device in his left ear. Occasionally, he would request repetitions or speak loudly, and sometimes even turn his head to listen with his right ear.

During a recent hospital follow-up, doctors recommended surgery to implant a new type of hearing aid that would be more suitable for Brayden's condition. To ensure it doesn't affect his future growth and learning, his parents have been trying hard to gather funds for the device, but it's still not enough. They have turned to One Hope Charity once again for assistance.

After careful review, One Hope Charity has decided to assist Brayden and his family in purchasing the new type of hearing aid as soon as possible.
