Gobu A/L Moorthy, 38, of Butterworth, was paralyzed in his lower body after a car accident on his way home from school 19 years ago, and he has needed a wheelchair ever since. The wheelchair, which had been used for many years, had worn out. ONE HOPE CHARITY will provide him with a special wheelchair and an inflatable cushion.

After graduation, Gobu went to work to help support his family. Unexpectedly, a car accident rendered him unable to move, jeopardizing the entire family's finances.

Gobu has always shared a residence with his mother and sister. The 61-year-old mother became paralyzed after spinal surgery many years ago, forcing the 33-year-old sister to quit her job to care for her mother and brother. His elder brother is solely responsible for the family's expenses.

The elder brother earns about RM2,300 per month and already has a family. Gobu's wheelchair is old and damaged this time. He has no extra money to help his younger brother replace the wheelchair, so he seeks help from ONE HOPE CHARITY.

Following the home visit, ONE HOPE CHARITY decided to provide the family with a special wheelchair and an inflatable cushion, allowing Gobu to continue to rely on the wheelchair to move around and care for himself.
