In July this year, ONE HOPE CHARITY provided various types of assistance to 48 applicants such as cataract surgery, knee cartilage injections, physiotherapy fees, wound cleaning, medical equipment such as scoliosis correction braces, special milk powder, diapers and food assistance.
In addition, ONE HOPE CHARITY also provided hearing aids to 63-year-old Loh Kok Heng, 57-year-old Kang Bak Seng, 52-year-old Ooi Yeau Chang, and 19-year-old Lim Boon Yang. They suffer from hearing loss due to various reasons, and ONE HOPE CHARITY assist them with hearing aids to restore their hearing and communicate with others to regain their confidence.
ONE HOPE CHARITY stated some of the assistance cases:
Hussein Bin Saidin, a 76-year-old man, suffered from a stroke two years ago and was unable to walk. His legs were amputated and his wounds needed to be cleaned every day. ONE HOPE CHARITY help with the cost of washing wounds.
69-year-old LEE BEE KEOW, during cataract surgery last year, the doctor found a strange shape in the corner of her eye, suspected to be pterygium. The doctor advised her to surgically remove it as soon as possible, otherwise the pterygium would get bigger and bigger and block her vision. ONE HOPE CHARITY help her with the RM1,800 surgery fee she needs.
23-year-old Lim Zhi Wen suffered a sudden inability to walk on his left foot a few days ago. After an examination, it was confirmed that the knee ligament was ruptured and the bones were displaced. He arranged for surgery to insert patches and screws. ONE HOPE CHARITY provide him with RM4,120 for the surgery.
Nur Qaliesya Binti Abd Rahim, an 11-year-old girl, suffers from stage 4 leukemia. She is now paralyzed in bed and needs physiotherapy. ONE HOPE CHARITY assist her with a total of RM1,440 in physiotherapy for the first 3 months.
In general, for cases that need assistance of not more than RM20,000, One Hope Charity will not initiate fundraising but would make good use of public donations to help those who are in need.
