"I thought I could work to help support my family after graduation, but unfortunately lost my leg in a car accident. I still have my hands. I hope I can earn money by working with my hands to repay my parents for taking care of me for 15 years."

A 33-year-old young man who grew up in a poor family planned to work in society after graduation 15 years ago to help his family. However, he was involved in a car accident and his legs were paralyzed. Last year, his legs were amputated because of a bacterial infection. ONE HOPE CHARITY lent him a motorised wheelchair for easy access, and even looked for job opportunities to earn some income to support his elderly parents.

Muhammad Zul Ihsan Bin Muhammad Arif (33 years old) had a car accident 15 years ago and seriously injured his spine. Doctors rescued him and saved his life, but his lower body was paralyzed. Since then, his mother has taken care of his daily life. In 2022, his legs were amputated due to a bacterial infection. After losing his legs, he could only lie in bed day and night.

He lives in a wooden house in Lunas, Kedah, with his elderly parents and aunt. His living expenses are supported by his father's pension, and there is not much left.

He had a follow-up at the Penang Hospital. The doctor suggested using a motorised wheelchair to make it easier for his elderly parents to take care of his daily life. Therefore, he applied for a motorised wheelchair to ONE HOPE CHARITY through the introduction of YB Senator Dr Lingeshwaran.

ONE HOPE CHARITY decided to approve the application after a home visit and review.
