A woman suffering from heart disease regularly visited the clinic for check-ups, but four years ago, she suddenly experienced difficulty breathing. Upon being rushed to the hospital, she learned about the severity of her condition and was diagnosed with Acute Coronary Syndrome, requiring emergency surgery.

Guramah A/P Manim, 49, discovered two days after the operation that blood circulation in her left leg was compromised, leading to its discoloration. Doctors were compelled to amputate her leg. Unable to continue working as a cleaner after the surgery, she had to withdraw her savings from the Employees Provident Fund (EPF). Her two children, after their mother's ordeal, no longer provided support.

She now lives alone in the flat left by her deceased husband, relying on assistance from social insurance to sustain her daily life. Balancing her health needs, she often subsists on a simple diet of vegetables with rice or biscuits to stave off hunger. Additionally, with the help of a government-issued medical card, she regularly attends hospital check-ups and obtains prescribed medications.

Unfortunately, due to sudden changes in the terms of the medical card, she found herself unable to afford the daily cost of necessary medications. In desperation, she sought help from the ONE HOPE CHARITY. After a home visit, decided to provide assistance, covering three months' worth of medication expenses and offering a supply of food aids.
