Sixteen-year-old Mieazara Nurqistina Bt Ismail from Kedah has finally been scheduled for surgery, bringing a mix of emotions for her and her mother after waiting for 16 years for this opportunity.

Mieazara Nurqistina, currently in Form Four, has aspirations of becoming a lawyer when she grows up. While the prospect of surgery brings about feelings of worry and fear, she is even more hopeful for a healthier body that will allow her to engage in various activities. In the past, she refrained from engaging in strenuous physical activities due to her condition, and even simple tasks like walking and climbing stairs would leave her breathless.

With the required RM80,000 for the surgery raised, both mother and daughter are not only grateful for the support extended by the community but also thankful for the assistance provided by One Hope Charity, enabling Mieazara Nurqistina to return to school promptly after the operation.

Following the surgery arrangements made by the hospital, she is expected to undergo approximately six months of recovery during which she will need to avoid lifting heavy objects. With the collective well-wishes from the public, it is hoped that the surgery will be successful, allowing the young girl to continue growing up safely and healthily.
