Ngu Zee Wei, from Machang Bubok, Bukit Mertajam, has been scheduled for surgery on January 13th to address her severe 90-degree spinal curvature. The surgery is anticipated to provide her with the opportunity to straighten her body for daily activities.

Currently facing a 90-degree curvature in her spine, Ngu Zee Wei was informed by doctors that if left unattended, her spine would bend at least 1 degree each year, posing the risk of organ compression and potential paralysis.

"Once the surgery is missed, it could potentially impact my lifelong health. Thank you to everyone who has helped me secure the opportunity for this surgery; I will always be grateful."

With the required surgery funds of RM55,000 already raised, fundraising activities by One Hope Charity have ceased.

Ngu Zee Wei had been living with spinal curvature, dismissing symptoms such as back pain and considering mouth breathing as a simple nasal issue. It wasn't until the discovery of a severe spinal curvature that she sought medical attention, learning about the 90-degree curvature and realizing that breathing difficulties were due to compression on her lungs.
