Suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type-2 (SMA Type-2), Siow Toong spends most of her time lying in a hospital bed. However, she engages in conversations with healthcare professionals entering her room, using a slightly childlike voice and straightforward words. She also greets visitors and occasionally serves as a communication bridge between her family and doctors.

Having been hospitalized since late October, she has completed almost all the required tests. However, her discharge depends mainly on waiting for a series of medical equipment to arrive. The medical team is concerned that without the necessary equipment, she might face nutritional challenges again.

Upon learning that the fundraising is sufficient, Siow Toong and her family are delighted. The foundation will assist in arranging the purchase of the necessary equipment, hoping for a swift delivery. This support aims to ensure Siow Toong can leave the hospital soon. The foundation expresses gratitude to all the kind-hearted individuals who extended their help to Siow Toong, providing her with blessings and warmth.

Siow Toong, 22 years old, hails from Kahang, Johor. Diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type-2 at the age of 2, her various health challenges have significantly impacted her growth. Unable to move freely, she relies on her family and a wheelchair. Swallowing issues, coupled with declining stomach function, lead to occasional vomiting and difficulties absorbing necessary nutrients. Depending on hospital-recommended nutritional formula, she aims to alleviate gastrointestinal stress, improve reflux issues, and attempt weight gain.
