A handwritten card, brimming with heartfelt gratitude!

After completing his treatment for a rare Neuroendocrine Rectal Tumor (NET), or carcinoid, 69-year-old Sin Boay Hock from Bukit Mertajam, Penang, took the time to personally visit and extend his thanks to the association and the community for their donations. He expressed profound gratitude, acknowledging that without the treatment, he wouldn't know what to do.

On January 30th, Sin Boay Hock began a new course of targeted drug therapy involving the injection of a radioactive drug that releases particles to destroy the DNA structure of tumor cells, causing them to die. This treatment is designed to specifically target and impact tumor cells while minimizing damage to surrounding normal tissue, resulting in fewer side effects for the patient.

As he continues with regular follow-up appointments and observation, we extend our heartfelt wishes for his swift recovery and all the best in the future.
