The required RM550,000 for SMJK Jit Sin II student Tan Qiao Qi has been successfully raised. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their collective contributions. While the funds have been secured, Qiao Qi still needs your blessings. Please continue to send your prayers and words of encouragement her way!

"Qiao Qi, you must overcome this illness, don't give up. We are here waiting for you to come back so we can reunite together!"

18-year-old Qiao Qi, diagnosed with a rare liver embryonal sarcoma, has successfully raised the required RM 550,000 for her medical expenses in 5 hours. Her father, Tan Chai Hee, and mother, Ng Sock Ching, are deeply grateful for the attention and donations from the community and the school faculty and students, which have helped Qiao Qi through this challenging time.

Currently undergoing chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy at University Malaya Medical Centre, doctors estimate her treatment will last for a year. Her parents take turns caring for her at the hospital.

Qiao Qi, aware of her condition, not only worries about the hefty medical expenses but also finds her determination affected by the negative news. At times, she even considered giving up treatment. However, with the encouragement from teachers, friends, and parents, Qiao Qi found the courage to fight on.

Her father, Tan Chai Hee, often reminds her that she has many supporters, including respected doctors, encouraging teachers and classmates. Moreover, Dato' Chua Sui Hau, the chairman of ONE HOPE CHARITY, personally visited the hospital to understand the situation and approved assistance for medical expenses. This assurance allows Qiao Qi to trust and comply with the doctors' treatment plans, promising to express her gratitude to those who have helped her in the future.

Qiao Qi, the 18-year-old sunshine girl from Penang, experienced sudden and severe pain throughout her body just before the SPM examinations earlier this year. Rushed to the hospital by her family, she was diagnosed with a ruptured liver tumor, putting her life in jeopardy. After emergency treatment at the General Hospital, she was confirmed to have liver embryonal sarcoma, a rare disease, and is currently undergoing treatment at University Malaya Medical Centre.

With the RM 550,000 needed for her medical expenses now raised, ONE HOPE CHARITY will cease fundraising activities. However, they urge everyone to continue sending their blessings and prayers to Qiao Qi, hoping for her to defeat the illness soon.
