"Seeing Thaddeus growing up healthy now brings us immense joy. We are grateful to everyone for giving Thaddeus a chance at a new life during the lowest point in our lives."

A handwritten thank-you card, a heartfelt message, conveys the parents' gratitude. As Thaddeus turns 9 months old, his parents, She Hai Kim and Lim Leng Hwee, sent a card filled with gratitude to One Hope Charity and the public. They also sent a custom-made keychain, expressing their boundless appreciation.

"It was unbelievable at the time that so many people were willing to help. We were deeply touched by the support and prayers from people we had never met."

Lim Leng Hwee also revealed that little Thaddeus is recovering well, and they hope to get the doctor's permission to remove part of his feeding tube in the near future.

Born in December last year, little Thaddeus was rushed from Hospital Miri to Kuala Lumpur for treatment due to oxygen deficiency, cyanosis, and a coma. He was diagnosed with Atrioventricular Septal Defect (AVSD), a heart condition characterized by a large hole between the upper and lower chambers of the heart. He needed urgent surgery to close the hole, as the condition posed a risk of heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, potentially threatening his life.

Fortunately, with the help of donations and prayers from the community, the required RM100,000 in medical expenses for Thaddeus was raised within 11 hours, allowing him to undergo the life-saving heart surgery on time.
