Yap Yu Shao from Ipoh, Perak, faced a challenging start to life as he was born with bacterial lung infection. After stabilizing, irregularities in his heartbeat were discovered, requiring him to be treated in an incubator for at least two weeks. Now, with his condition improving, the baby has successfully removed the breathing tube and can breathe independently. However, he still needs to be fed through a feeding tube.

Doctors have informed the parents that as long as the baby's heartbeat remains stable, he can breathe independently, and he does not vomit after feeding, he can be discharged to reunite with his family.

The emotional journey for the parents has been like a roller coaster. Initially filled with anticipation upon welcoming their child, they soon faced worries due to the baby's conditions. With the baby's improved condition after receiving medical treatment and the assistance approved by One Hope Charity, the parents feel a temporary relief.

With the required RM 90,000 medical funds for the baby raised within seven hours, One Hope Charity has announced the cessation of fundraising.

"Thanks to the support of the public, helping us and the baby overcome this difficult time. We also promise that, when possible, we will give back to society to repay the kindness of the public."
