On the eve of the Lunar New Year, Grayson Yap, a newborn baby from Ipoh, Perak, who suffered from pneumonia and incomplete lung expansion, was finally discharged from the hospital after 26 days of treatment, allowing him to reunite with his family.

Grayson Yap was admitted to the intensive care unit immediately after birth due to rapid breathing. Doctors initially discovered that the baby had incomplete lung expansion and pneumonia. Subsequently, he was diagnosed with multiple atrial tachycardia, necessitating at least two weeks of treatment in the neonatal intensive care unit.

The shocking news deeply unsettled the new parents, turning their joyful anticipation of welcoming their newborn into deep concern for their child's health. The overwhelming medical expenses added to their sense of helplessness.

Now that the baby has recovered and been discharged from the hospital, albeit still feeding slowly, the parents have transferred him to a government hospital for follow-up appointments. Nonetheless, they are immensely grateful for the support and well wishes from the community, which has enabled their baby to overcome reliance on respiratory support. They hope for Grayson's safe and healthy growth in the future.
