Today, there are two children and three adults who are disabled and/or handicapped people are benefiting from One Hope Charity?s Fund. Each of them had been aided with the respective custom orthotics & prosthetics to enable them to stand up just like a normal people.

These orthotics & prosthetics are custom made and each orthotic & prosthetic are cost differently. As such, the total cost for these 5 pairs of orthotics & prosthetics is RM39,314.68. One Hope Charity fully utilized the charity fund donated by the generous kind dedicated public to help these needy and handicapped people to have a better life.

Harshitaa is currently a standard four student. She was diagnosed with spina bifida when she was born which resulted foot and ankle deformities. Hasrshitaa is relying on the knee-ankle orthotics to enable her to walk and to prevent, protect or correct the said deformities. It?s time for Harshitaa to get a new pair of the knee-ankle orthotics as she is now growing up whereby the previous orthotics are no longer suitable for her size. Harshitaa?s knee-ankle orthotics (in pair) cost about RM2,256.

Sandhranaggan (9 years old) was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (spastic quadriplegia) when he was born. In 2012, One Hope Charity supported Sandhranaggan to undergo feet and pelvis corrective surgery. Due to the growth and development the doctor has suggested Sandhranaggan to wear the pelvic supporting device to enable him to walk straight. Sandhranaggan?s pelvic supporting device cost about RM4,346.

Teoh Chow Teong (46 years old) suffered from polio at the age of two due to the delayed treatment of fever, leaving his legs and feet weak and deformed. Teoh started to wear orthotics at the age of thirteen and he can walk like a usual man. Teoh is self reliance. He is also married and has his own kids. Unfortunately, Teoh?s previous orthotics was broken and he has no extra money to replace it. Teoh?s knee-ankle-foot orthotics cost about RM12,020.

Ong Theng Cheong (52 years old) formerly worked as a salesman. Since Ong fell down and injured himself nine years ago, he was then suffering from diabetes, hypertension and kidney failure. In year 2016, his right leg was seriously infected with bacteria and in order to save his life, his right leg was amputated. Ong?s prosthesis (right leg) cost about RM9,248.50.

Beh Soon Long (57 years old) had diabetes 5 years ago. Beh has been forced to amputate his both legs to save his life. After losing his both legs, Beh is unable to work. Beh?s prosthesis (both legs) cost RM11,444.18.
