Due to the financial condition of the family, the child could not receive her surgery as scheduled. And now, the 3-year-old girl’s heart is swollen and the surgery should not be delayed anymore. Her single father pleaded the public to help him with the RM80,000, so that his daughter could be saved.
3-year-old girl Mico Wong En Qi from Johor was detected to have abnormal heart condition even before she was born. She was diagnosed with congenital heart disease after birth. The doctor then told the family that she has to undergo two surgeries. She underwent her first surgery when she was 2 months old, and was supposed to receive her second surgery when she was 1. However, due to the financial condition of the family, the surgery has been postponed till now.
In a recent follow-up visit, her heart was discovered to be severely swollen. The surgery should not be delayed anymore, otherwise her life might be in danger. Her helpless father is hoping for help from the public.

A week before baby Mico was born, the doctor discovered that the baby might have heart problem and suggested the parents to go for further examination at a specialist hospital.
However, due to financial problem, the parents did not went to the specialist hospital. When baby Mico was born, the doctor found out that her breathing was abnormal. A check at the hospital revealed that she suffered from congenital heart disease.
When she was 2 months old, she had a pulmonary artery banding (PA Banding) surgery. At that time, the doctor told the family that baby Mico needed another surgery.
Little Mico suffered from double outlet right ventricle (DORV) and ventricular septal defect (VSD). She must undergo different stages of heart repair surgery at different ages in order to grow up safely.
【Her fingers and lips will turn purplish when lack of oxygen】
Her second heart surgery was supposed to be carried out when she was 1, but due to financial problem, it has been delayed for two years.
Little Mico is not allowed to be too active. When her family discovered something amiss, they will ask her to stop and calm down. Sometimes, her family may be in shock when her fingers and lips will turn purple during hypoxia.
In a recent follow-up visit, the doctor told the family that there was sign of swelling in her heart, and she needs to undergo surgery as soon as possible.
Her 22-year-old father Wong Kah Wai is an air-conditioner maintenance technician, earning about RM2,200 a month. During the Movement Control Order (MCO), his income became unstable. And recently when most industries are allowed to resume, he started to have some income. Kah Wai has divorced; his ex-wife is living with his another 2-year-old daughter.
