“We married for a year before my wife was pregnant with this child. I still have no chance to carry him, and he is now in the intensive care unit, fighting for his life….”

An Air Force and his wife were married for a year before they finally got their child. Unexpectedly, the baby was cyanotic shortly after birth, and the doctor rushed him to the intensive care unit for an oxygen supply. An examination revealed that he had severe congenital heart disease, and the oxygen could not reach his whole body. The doctor quickly placed a stent to relieve his condition temporarily, but he needed an oxygen supply.

The parent conceived with Muhammad Aidan Ali Bin Muhammad Harith a year after marriage. The parents will never give up on him, so they beg the public for RM90,000 in surgical expenses.

【The baby cannot breathe on his own since birth. He will suffer from shortness of breath and hypoxia once the doctor removes the oxygen mask】

The mother’s prenatal check-up showed no abnormalities, and Muhammad Aidan Ali was born on 17 February. Unexpectedly, his body turned purplish, his blood oxygen dropped drastically, and his heart beat fast at birth. His mother could only hold him for a short while before the doctor rushed him to the intensive care unit. His mother gave birth at the Kuala Kangsar Hospital in Perak, but the placenta stayed inside her uterus. Hence, the hospital urgently referred the mother and son to Taiping Hospital for further treatment.

The baby boy was diagnosed with heart problems during a preliminary examination, so he was later transferred to the nearest government hospital in Penang for a thorough check. The result confirmed that the boy had severe Dextro-Transposition of the Great Arteries (d-TGA), atrial septal defect (ASD), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), and the oxygen could not reach his whole body. At that time, the doctor placed a stent to allow oxygen delivery, and the boy subsequently needed to rely on a breathing aid.

The doctor referred the baby boy to a specialist hospital for surgery because the government hospital could not perform the more critical heart repair surgery. The baby must undergo the procedure between four-week and six-week, but the parents are worried about their son’s medical condition and the substantial surgical expenses.

His 27-year-old father, Muhammad Harith Bin Rosli, is an Air Force member. He served in Labuan Air Force Base but transferred to Butterworth Air Force Base as his child was ill. He has a basic salary of RM2,409. His 27-year-old mother, Wan Aisyah Binti Mior Mohd Tahir, is a housewife. The couple has been longing for the child for a year and never expected that their son was born with a heart defect and is now fighting for life.

Since photography is not allowed in the hospital, the couple did not even own a photo of their son. When One Hope Charity obtained their son’s photographs, the couple was troubled, seeing their newborn suffering from illness. The couple was also helpless as they could not afford the surgical expenses.

After reviewing the case following a home visit, One Hope Charity decided to assist Muhammad Aidan Ali in raising the RM90,000 surgical fee. His family agreed to fully authorise One Hope Charity to take charge of the fundraising and collect the donations on their behalf.
