"Baby is suffering from a complex and severe heart condition, currently surviving in the ICU with the help of medical equipment. He urgently needs surgery within 3 weeks, pleading for everyone to help save him..."

Muhammad Rafi Ismail Hadi bin Azizan, a two-week-old baby from Penang, is withering away, breaking his parents' hearts. They only hope for the child to get the opportunity for surgery as soon as possible. However, the exorbitant surgery costs have left the parents feeling lost and helpless, pleading for the remaining RM80,000 needed for the operation.

【While Muslim brethren are celebrating Hari Raya, the parents of the baby boy are not in the mood for festivities. Instead, they are filled with worry as they watch their child's life slowly fade away】

The mother, diagnosed with gestational diabetes during pregnancy, gave birth to a baby boy on April 2nd, who was discharged the next day without complications. However, six days after birth, due to increasing jaundice levels, the baby was advised by the clinic to be transferred to the hospital for phototherapy. The following day, doctors discovered that the baby had a rapid heartbeat. Tests revealed a condition where the heart's blood vessels were reversed, causing a lack of oxygen supply to the body, with blood oxygen levels dropping to 47%. Subsequently, the baby's condition deteriorated, necessitating urgent transfer to the ICU and intubation for oxygen support.

The baby boy was diagnosed with transposition of the great arteries (TGA), ventricular septal defect (VSD), atrial septal defect (ASD), and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). Urgent arterial switch operation (ASO) is required to correct the transposition of the great arteries and repair the various defects in the heart.

Due to the critical condition, doctors informed that only two hospitals in Malaysia could perform the surgery. The National Heart Centre was distant and required scheduling, so the urgent referral was made to the only hospital in northern Malaysia capable of performing the surgery. The baby must undergo the operation before reaching full term to survive.

The father, Azizan bin Ismail (44 years old), works as a technician with a salary of RM3954, while the Indonesian wife, Halimatun Sakdiah (33 years old), is a housewife. The couple has two other children, aged 9 and 7 respectively.

After a home visit assessment, One Hope Charity has decided to raise the necessary medical funds for the baby. The family has agreed to entrust the fundraising activities to the One Hope Charity, while will also collect donations on their behalf. In this case, One Hope Charity will allocate RM5,000 from the "Emergency Medical Reserve Fund".
