Suitable stem cell has been found. Wee Swee Siong is urgently in need of RM100,000 to purchase stem cell for transplant surgery.

This is a urgent fundraising to save his life. Suitable stem cell has been found finally and his condition is suitable for transplant surgery but unfortunately, he is short of money to purchase the stem cell. Please help to save his life.

Wee Swee Siong who is from Seremban suffers from T-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, T-All. This had shattered his dream to pursue further education and he had gave up his education in Australia as a Civil Engineer. He was forced to start his battle with sickness in Malaysia.

Wee had successfully saved a sum of money for education 2 years ago and had flew to Australia to study. As his family’s financial situation is not that good, he was forced to work while studying and he covers his own education fee and living cost. He spent wisely and he is able to send money home for his parents.

Last year in October, he experienced high fever and his skin has bruise. After check-up, he was diagnosed with leukaemia. He fainted during work and was admitted and due to his critical condition, he was forced to undergo chemotherapy in Australia. As he holds student visa, his insurance only covers certain treatment and admission. As a result, doctors suggested him to return to Malaysia for treatment.

Wee’s disease will attack anytime and only stem cell transplant can help him to recover. His elder brother and younger brother had went for test but they are not suitable to become the donor and Malaysia’s stem cell bank do not have suitable one. As a result, he was forced to search for suitable stem cell overseas.

He is lucky that in September, he received a good news from the hospital stating that the suitable stem cell has been found in Singapore’s stem cell bank. He requires RM100,000 to purchase the stem cell.

His parents are both hawkers previously, but his father had passed away in April this year. His mother, Wong Kui Loi, 67, washes dish to earn her living cost. He has an elder brother who works as a lorry driver and he has his own family. He has a younger brother who is 26 years old and he is currently working in Singapore.
