However, the doctor suggested her to replace the targeted treatment drugs to avoid cancer recurrence and other variables. The additional RM150,000 required has been successfully raised. Hui Ching is deeply touched and grateful. One Hope Charity will also stop the fundraising for Hui Ching with immediate effect.
Hui Ching also promised that after she recovers, she is willing to teach her skills and knowledge about making cakes to those underprivileged groups and single mothers, so that they can equip with the skill and support their own lives.
“I hope that I can recover as soon as possible so that I can use my strength to repay everyone who helped me.”
In October last year, Hui Ching was confirmed to have a recurrence of colorectal cancer. She was worried about the huge amount of medical expenses, and she approached One Hope Charity for help. After reviewing the case, the Organisation approved a fundraising of RM150,000 for her for the first time.
She then received her treatment, and during this period, her condition improved. Her complexion became better, and she also regained her physical strength. However, the doctor suggested her to replace her targeted treatment drugs to completely eliminate the cancer cells, which resulted her medical expenses to increase.
Hui Ching knew that the donations were from the public and must be used carefully, but when she tried to consult the government hospitals, she was told that the government hospitals do not have the targeted treatment drugs, hence she has no other choice but to continue stay in a private hospital for treatment.
“I have arranged for follow-up visits at government hospital once I completed the course of targeted treatment.”
Hui Ching and her family are grateful to all the kind-hearted individuals who repeatedly helped her through the difficulties times. She will actively fight against cancer and will not disappoint those who care about her.
