Nur Adzreen Zahirah has successfully undergone cochlear implant surgery and officially had her device tuned on December 2nd. Her parents are immensely grateful for everyone's help, enabling their child to step out of the silent world.

"We look forward to hearing her call us 'Mom' and 'Dad.' We believe we will hear it soon."

In addition to expressing gratitude, father Khairil Azhar shared the good news that Nur Adzreen Zahirah has officially had her cochlear implant turned on. The device will be gradually adjusted to higher levels as she becomes more accustomed to sounds. Following this, she will undergo speech therapy, learn pronunciation, and improve sound recognition. The hope is that she will grow like other children, hearing the sounds around her and improving her speech through therapy.

Nur Adzreen Zahirah, now 5 years old, was diagnosed with severe to profound hearing loss in her right ear and very severe hearing loss in her left ear. Despite being close to 6 years old, she has only said "Mom" once. To accelerate the improvement of her hearing, her parents sought assistance from One Hope Charity to raise funds for the RM85,000 unilateral cochlear implant surgery.
