URGENT

100%

8-year-old Nur Aina Darwisyah is a special child. She was also diagnosed with double-outlet left ventricle (DOLV), a rare and complicated congenital heart disease. She had undergone four major and minor surgeries since she was small. And now, she needs to undergo the final stage of heart repair surgery. She needs RM90,000 for the surgery.

Although she is special but she is also a lucky child. Her parents love her and take good care of her since the day she was born, and she grew up in a happy family. Now, she needs the support from the public to help her to go through her medical condition.

【Her life is full of challenges as her hands, feet and heart are malformed】

When her mother was pregnant for five months, the doctor found out that her limbs and heart were malformed. Nur Aina Darwisyah Bt Abdul Habib was born a week earlier than the expected due date, and was rushed to the intensive care unit (ICU) immediately after she was born.

When she was born, the doctor confirmed that her fingers and toes were malformed and it would affect her mobility in the future. However, she needed urgent treatment for her rare congenital heart disease before she could proceed with treatments to his limbs.

She stayed in the hospital for three months. In 2013, a doctor from National Heart Institute (IJN)came to Penang Hospital to perform surgery on her – to narrow her blood vessels, and then placed plasters on her legs to fix the development of her ankles.

In 2019, when she was 6 years old, she was again referred to a specialist hospital for heart repair surgery and admitted to the hospital for two other minor surgeries. In August this year when she went for her regular check-up at the specialist centre, the doctor informed that the oxygen content in her body dropped, and she needed another surgery which cost RM90,000.

The little girl is deaf on one of her ears, and her eyes are dry which resulted her to tear up. As her toes did not develop well, she could not walk stably and would fall sometimes. Despite all the condition, her loves spending time drawing at home.

Her 48-year-old father Abdul Habib Bin Ahmad@Ismail is an odd job worker who earns between RM300 and RM800 a month. As her father is also deaf in one ear ever since he was young, and he received a monthly RM450 allowance for disabled person from the government.

Her 50-year-old mother Rasidah Bt Yaakub is a housewife who takes care of her child wholeheartedly. Nur Aina Darwisyah is their only child.
