Lively and lovely two-year-old girl Loke Xin Yuan suffers from hard-of-hearing and cochlear implantation in both of her ears is recommended. She needs RM110,000 for the cochlear implants to help her out of the silent world

Loke Xin Yuan, an adorable and joyous girl, seems to be no different from other children. In fact, she cannot hear. Fortunately, her family found it early, and then she received donations from generous people. Lastly, she successfully implanted artificial cochleae.

Loke Xin Yuan had her artificial cochleae surgery on 26th June 2021. The surgery was smooth, and she was allowed to be discharged two days later.

Loke Xin Yuan will have her follow-up visit on 19 July 2021. After that, she will have a tuning appointment for her cochlear implant to be 'switched on' and adjust the sound. She will gradually adapt to the world and grow up healthily in a wonderful childhood with sound.

Two-year-old Loke Xin Yuan from Sungai Siput in Perak. She was brought to the hospital for checking after her family discovered that she had no response to the sound of firecrackers during the Chinese New Year.

After several assessments, the doctor diagnosed that Xin Yuan was almost completely deaf and she was still unresponsive after wearing hearing aids. The doctor advised Xin Yuan to has cochleae implant surgery soonest possible. The total cost of cochlear implant was RM190,000. The family can afford RM80,000.00 therefore they have no idea for the balance of RM110,000.00.

One Hope Charity had received many donations for Xin Yuan after launched the fundraising campaign. The benevolent people are very distressed about Xin Yuan’s situation and hope that she can undergo cochlear implant surgery immediately so that she can has hearing soon.

The parent of Xin Yuan wishes to thank all generous people. Because of the donations, Xin Yuan only can be implanted cochleae in a short time, this helps to minimize the impact of not hearing happen to this little girl.
